Biography
Kelly J. McNerney Quardokus is the principal attorney and owner of the firm and has been practicing in the area of elder law for nearly two decades in both a large and small firm environment. Before entering private practice, Ms. Quardokus spent more than 14 years working for several statewide nonprofit organizations such as the Michigan State Bar Foundation, Michigan Office of the State Long Term Care Ombudsman, State Bar of Michigan, and Western Michigan Legal Services. She continues to remain active statewide and locally to advocate for vulnerable populations, especially seniors and people with disabilities. Ms. Quardokus is active in the State Bar’s Elder Law and Disability Rights Section, serving as previous chair of the Section and past chair of the Legislative Committee for several years. She is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and a Supporting Fellow of the Michigan State Bar Foundation. Ms. Quardokus serves as chair of the Older Adult Services Advisory Council for Kalamazoo County and is on the governing board for Lending Hands of Michigan Inc.
Although born and raised in Southwest Michigan, Kelly (Niles) and husband, John (Bridgman), loved Kalamazoo and made it home after Bronco Days at Western Michigan University. Kelly and John have two “above average” children, Amelia and Alex Quardokus, with whom they enjoy spending time, even though the kids are adults and no longer “have to.” Kelly enjoys co-ed softball (although she is now retired), family volleyball, reading, thrifting and vintage shopping, nature trail walks with the family dog, and teaching Sunday School at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
